Introducing Improved JSON and Text Diffs on DoltHub
For those of you that are new, Dolt is a database that supports Git-style versioning. DoltHub is a place on the internet to share and collaborate on Dolt databases. DoltHub is committed to ensuring that our customers have a great experience using the platform. Today, we are excited to announce the release of features that are designed to improve user experience of reading data and diffs on DoltHub!
Display deltas for JSON and text diffs
Finding where changes are taking place in a large data object can be difficult. Taking customers' feedback, we now show the deltas of JSON and text diffs, making them easier and more efficient to read.
The column buttons allow you to switch between viewing deltas, the full data, and an excerpt of the data. You can also expand and collapse an individual cell using the cell buttons.
Here is an example of the expanded JSON object and diff deltas, we used to only show the expanded JSON in diff, with deltas being available, it's much easier to spot the changes!

New JSON and text display
The expanded content view is available for JSON and text in our data table as well.
All of these improvements are available now! We're continually working toward enhancing our UI on DoltHub and as always, we’re eager to hear what you think. If you have feedback on these enhancements or ideas for additional features you’d like to see, reach out to us on Discord, or file a feature request on GitHub.
